Walnut Hill wants to ensure a safe and loving environment for your child.  We want your child to have a creative, well structured learning environment where the Golden Rule is always observed.

A child having difficulty with behavior is:

• Redirected to an appropriate activity.
• Redirected a second time.
  
• Encouraged to discuss feelings concerning behavior.
• Placed in Time Out if previous approaches fail.

If a child bites, kicks, scratches, etc., an apology is necessary. The teacher will explain why the behavior is unacceptable and why we do not hurt our friends. If the behavior continues the parents will be notified.
